If you look at the bike behind me in the photo you can see the front wheel got melted by a car. I think that was the only casualty of the night and I'm afraid I can't remember the rider's name but he was fortunate enough to be riding with Irish Johnny who quit his own race to make sure he was alright and get him to the safety of the HOP checkpoint. In return for Johnny's gentlemanly behavior we gave him booze and Tim ( Death ) set fire to his manifest.
