GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS.

CMWC 2008 is over and we now have two new World Champions. By now everyone who's interested will know Shino from Tokyo's smiling face and congratulations to him, then there's Jenna from New Zealand the female champ... who? Well that's it, there seems to be no pictures of this year's Girl's winner. We all know that the only thing couriers love more than riding their bikes is taking photos of each other riding their bikes but not, it seems, photos of one of our current World Champions. There could be a perfectly good reason for this, maybe Jenna left before the Prize giving, but in the interest of fair and balanced coverage we've done some cyber stalking and think we've tracked down the elusive Champ. However, the girl we've circled in the photograph looks nothing like the person Buffalo Bill described to us so if we've got it right then Congratulations Jenna! And if not then Congratulations Random Girl! You've made it onto House of Pistard!
If someone can give us conclusive proof of who Jenna is then send it in by email please.

Also a lot has been made about this year's male winner being the first to win on a Track bike, but didn't Sarah from S.F. win the girls main race in Sydney 2006 on a brakeless fixie?

Now that we've redressed the balance in the Messenger World we can get to the whole point of this post which is Chandra's girls only alleycat on 5th July:

Female Only Alleycat. Saturday 5th of July 6ish at the Foundry.
A points race in a treasure cat style.
Men welcome but only at checkpoints...and in drag (no you can't race in drag)
Women come as your female heroine, come as a man...come as you like but make an effort to dress up (points for costume).
Women of all cycling abilities welcome, this is fun race where its not just about how fast you go, its how much balls you have.
£5 entry all profits going to the LCEF.

There will be a combined H.O.P./Moving Target checkpoint of some description but Bill veto-ed our original idea of having the racers shoot ping-pong balls at a target*.

*Oh hello. Looks like we found that line people keep telling us not to cross.
