It was Skateboarders who brought the fixed wheel** to the attention of the masses via MASH. Originally as something to do when they were too injured to skate but it quickly snowballed into the global hyper-trend it is today so it's no surprise the backlash should come from there as well.
We'd like to point out to the uppity complainers out there that the tee shirt is anti the word Fixie, not the actual bikes. It was also done as a change to the Track Bike-centric monotony Messenger culture has become. We've said it before and we'll say it again Couriers ride EVERYTHING...bring back the Muddy Foxes!
